American Girl was known to me as those dolls that are supposed to teach us about different eras in American history, since they're all from different times and have books to go along with them...so that makes the new doll who is from the era of the 1980s feel a little too modern! Okay, maybe they're just dipping their toes into more modern times and we're not getting THAT old. But they did announce their new doll, Courtney Moore, come from 1986 with "big, bright, bold ideas that will inspire today's girls to find their inner hero and accomplish great things."
