I don't know how I missed this news being all hyped about Game of Thrones when the series ended a month ago, but yep, it's getting a prequel. Apparently this new series will take place thousands of years before the show we all came to know and love, and will show origins of the White Walkers, the Starks, and more things mentioned in the first show. George R.R. Martin, the author of the books the shows are based on recently revealed some more details in an inter view with Entertainment Weekly that you can read in full HERE. Some of the things he revealed include that there will be a lot of familiar names like Stark and Lannister, and familiar animals like direwolves. There will also be way more than the seven kingdoms we know of...like 100 kingdoms! They've actually revealed some of the actors too, although the only name I recognized was Naomi Watts.
