Gas Prices Fall, But Are Still On Track To Set A Thanksgiving Record

That's according to the AAA, which reports the national average for a gallon of gas is currently $3.66, down 10 cents from one week ago. On the upper end of the spectrum, California's average is currently $5.25, while Texas sits on the lower end with an average of just $2.99, per the AAA. Although the prices are putting U.S. motorists on track for the most expensive Thanksgiving ever, GasBuddy's Patrick DeHaan says relief should arrive sometime in December. "It's not impossible that if oil markets hold, we could see a national average of $2.99 around Christmas," he says. "Certainly the gift that every motorist is hoping for." What's the most you've paid for a gallon of gas?
