Popular restaurants and chains are loved by many for a reason, serving up delicious meals and interesting culinary creations sure to please. However, some restaurants have such a dedicated following that they have achieved legend status, local hotspots that have become cult favorites and community staples, offering guests a unique atmosphere, colorful decor or interesting dishes that they might not find anywhere else.

According to a list compiled by LoveFood, the "best cult-favorite restaurant" in all of Missouri is Arthur Bryant's Barbecue. This popular Kansas City eatery has become one of the must-visit BBQ joints not just in the state but in the whole country. Arthur Bryant's Barbecue, which has a 4.3 star rating on Google and nearly 10,000 reviews, is located at 1727 Brooklyn Avenue.

Here's what the site had to say about this "iconic" restaurant:

"Arthur Bryant's isn't just any barbecue restaurant – it's widely considered to be one of the best (and most famous) in the US. And for good reason, too; a long history and a knock-your-socks-off special barbecue sauce has cemented Arthur Bryant's as a Kansas City must-try. Various presidents, from Harry S. Truman onwards, have eaten here, and Playboy magazine even dubbed it 'possibly the single best restaurant in the world.' Today, diners continue to rave about the flavor of the food and the down-to-earth mood."
