Newsweek recently partnered with Statista to compile a list of the "best-in-state" hospitals for 2025, which recognized 700 leading hospitals around the country based on factors like quality and patient experience. According to the rankings, the best hospital in Missouri for 2025 is Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
St. Luke's Hospital of Kansas City, St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Mercy Hospital St. Louis, Mercy Hospital Springfield, University of Missouri Health Care - University Hospital in Columbia, Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, University Health Lakewood Medical Center in Kansas City, North Kansas City Hospital, Barnes-Jewish St. Peter's Hospital, Saint Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit, Progress West Hospital in O'Fallon, Saint Luke's North Hospital in Kansas City, Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital in Creve Coeur and Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton also rank among the best hospitals Missouri has to offer.

"This year's rankings include facilities in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The rankings were compiled using quality metrics from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the AHA Annual Survey of Hospitals Database, a nationwide online survey among medical professionals, results from HCAHPS patient experience surveys and a voluntary PROMs (Patient-Reported Outcome Measures) implementation survey."
