Daryn Wright, a 20-year-old diver from Plainfield, Indiana, is making waves in the world of diving. Standing at 5-foot-2, Wright is set to represent the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, marking a significant milestone in her career.
Wright's journey to the Olympics is a testament to her talent and dedication to the sport. She has consistently performed well in various diving competitions, earning her a spot on the U.S. Olympic team. Wright finished second on the 10-meter platform at the U.S. Olympic trials, securing her place in the upcoming games.
Before her Olympic journey, Wright was a member of the Junior World Championships team in 2018. She has also competed in the World Championships, finishing 24th in the 10-meter event in 2024 and 9th in the same event in 2022.
Wright's success is not limited to the diving platform. She is a graduate of Plainfield High School and currently attends Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Her coaches include Drew Johansen, Wenbo Chen, David Boudia, Dwight Dumais, Jenny Johansen, Matt Scoggin, and John Wingfield.
