Dennis Quaid is known for his rugged roles, often cast as the roguish Romeo and Western renegade, but do you know who this cowboy says was his first "leading lady" on the silver screen?
Country music's favorite Texas tornado: Tanya Tucker.
In a recent interview with Cody Alan, the movie hunk reveals that he has known the country superstar for over four decades and have finally recorded a song together.
"Tanya Tucker, I met back in 1978. In fact, she was my first leading lady in a television movie called "Amateur Night at the Dixie Bar and Grill." She played my love interest," says Dennis. "Then we didn't see each other for 40 years."
"I saw her backstage a couple of years ago at the Waylon Jennings Hall of Fame induction, and we just struck up a conversation. It was really natural like we had just seen each other yesterday," says the actor before offering a little musical teaser.
"In fact, we recorded together. She did a song that I wrote called "On My Way To Heaven," which we will release this year. We did it with Brandi Carlile and Kris Kristofferson. So I am looking forward to that!"
While Dennis didn't share a release date, there are plenty of eager country fans and movie buffs thirsty for the new music.
