At one point in my life I thought being a flight attendant would be such a cool job! But then you hear that they only get paid when the plane is in the air, not for the work they do prepping for flight or after the flight is over, or how they don't really get to visit the cities they fly to, that kind of changes your mind. Another drawback flight attendants have to deal with is a super stuffy, uncomfortable, and even impractical uniform for the physicality of the work they have to do. Fortunately, an airline in Ukraine took notice and is making changes to the uniforms! I first saw it described as "a blazer, loose-fitting pants, a blue silk scarf -- and most importantly -- sneakers." However, I feel like that description doesn't do it justice. The scarf is fashionably worn draped from one shoulder, and they the blaser and pants still look like a professional suit just with a trendier cut. Also, the tennis shoes are not your average orthopedic friendly shoe, they look like the very trendy, chunky white sneakers worn by Instagram influencers and TikTok famous fashionistas of the day.
