GREAT NEWS! Coffee Could Help You Lose Weight!

According to the Journal Scientific Reports if you drink a cup of coffee each day it may help fight obesity and diabetes! The study finds that coffee may stimulate brown fat which is the "good" fat because it helps generate body heat by burning calories. Oh yeah, did you know there are two kinds of fat? Apparently there is brown fat as previously mentioned, and white fat which is the "bad" fat because it helps the body store excess calories. According to the article, Michael Symonds who is a professor in the School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham said, “Brown fat works in a different way to other fat in your body and produces heat by burning sugar and fat, often in response to cold. Increasing its activity improves blood sugar control as well as improving blood lipid levels and the extra calories burnt help with weight loss, however, until now, no one has found an acceptable way to stimulate its activity in humans.” This is where the coffee comes in!
