I didn't realize Yoga first boomed all the way back in the 1970s! Or that we really didn't know very much about fitness until really the 80s. I was also astounded that Zumba, an exercise I have done, was invented by accident! Apparently the instructor who came up with it actually forgot the music he intended to bring for an aerobic dance work out so he improvised with a different sounding music. I feel like this also shows that work outs come in fads so if you are setting a goal to lose weight or get in better shape, it doesn't matter what work out you do as long as you find one that works for you!
