Doritos Creating a New Chip "For Ladies"

posted by Hemmy -

They say women don't like the loud crunch or licking their fingers in public...if only there was a napkin for women! 😂

Ironically, I personally don't eat Doritos because, well I don't think they taste that great but I also don't like getting the powder on my fingers. 😂😂😂 However, I use a spoon to eat white cheddar popcorn and other powdery snacks I actually like!!

Actual email I sent to Doritos, as in “come in now”, and “really?!l: Dear Doritos Head Honchos and Decision Makers, In case you haven't already determined that Lady Doritos is an absolutely ridiculous and insulting product idea based on the social media backlash, I'm here to tell you that it is. I have been eating and LOVING Doritos Nacho Cheese chips since I was a kid, and hope to enjoy them for many years to come. I am a woman, am usually a lady, and am half of a dual income household with no kids. We have plenty of disposable income to spend on chips. That said, I am completely comfortable eating "loud" and cheesy chips. I will gladly scoop all the crumbly bits into my mouth and will lick my fingers when it's appropriate (like at home or with friends, versus eating chips with my hands while attending a theater performance) I know who I am and what I'm worth. Yes, I am a woman, but don't need special food in order to make me daintier and shield others from the reality of me eating snack foods. If you are interested in improving things for women, please ensure women are properly represented in your workforce - particularly in upper management - with equal pay. In addition, you might consider making some women-focused donations in the company name to help smooth over this debacle and to establish that you are truly concerned about women as human beings versus objects that should bend to antiquated gender expectations. Two suggestions (geared towards equal political representation) include the National Women's Political Caucus and the Women's Campaign Fund - two of several non-profits focused on boosting female representation. I hope you'll take these suggestions from a long-time customer and act on them accordingly. Sincerely, Melody M. Nuñez
