Billy Ray Cyrus paid tribute to ex-wife Tish Cyrus on her birthday on Wednesday (May 13).

The “Achy Breaky Heart” artist, 64, shared a rendition of “Ready, Set, Don't Go,” which he released in 2007. He wrote in his caption: “TRUE STORY. Dedicate this to Hannah Montana Nation and all our friends at Disney. ‘Got stars ⭐️ in her eyes, the prize is hers to win.’ Two of the greatest mothers EVER were born on this day and tomorrow, my mother Ruthie on May 14th … and the mother driving Miley down that driveway as I wrote the song ‘Ready Set Don’t Go.’ Happy Birthday Tish. Wishing you peace, love, and happiness … forever.”

Billy Ray and Tish, 59, said “I do” in 1993. They divorced in 2022, ending the marriage after nearly three decades. Billy Ray adopted Tish’s two eldest children, Brandi Cyrus, 38, and Trace Cyrus, 37, who he married their mother. Billy Ray and Tish share Miley Cyrus, 33, Braison Cyrus, 32, and Noah Cyrus, 26. Billy Ray is also a father to son Christopher Cody, 34, from a previous relationship. After the divorce, Tish married actor Dominic Purcell, 56, in 2023. Billy Ray was briefly married to singer FIREROSE, and has since started dating actress Elizabeth Hurley. The couple met while filming Christmas in Paradise in 2022, and reconnected after the country star’s divorce. Billy Ray publicly announced his relationship with Hurley in April 2025. They’ve been together ever since.
