Granger Smith Reveals New Sentimental Tattoo In Honor Of Late Son

Granger Smith is honoring his late son, River, in a beautiful way.

The "Backroad Song" singer has revealed a new tattoo in memory of his son. On Wednesday (June 25), two weeks after Smith delivered the heartbreaking news that he and his wife Amber lost their youngest son, the singer showed off his new tattoo. Placed on his right forearm, the tattoo spells out River's name in black ink.

Granger Smith Visits Dell Children's To Present Donation In Memory Of His Son River

Smith and his wife were at the Dell Children’s Medical Center, where River received medical attention after his accident, to presented a check for $218,791. The money was raised through the sale of a special charity shirt he designed in honor of his little boy.

Previously, the Smith family announced over $100,000 had been raised from proceeds of the shirt. "Let this be a small token of the gratitude that we've got for you guys," Smith said at the medical center, CBS Austin reported. "The first thing we wanted to do was start giving back to Dell Children's."

Amber continued, "We don't understand why this happened and we'll never understand, but I promise that we're going to figure out the good. We're going to bring good from it."

The Smith family recently took a sentimental trip to a museum to honor River and also plan on releasing another T-shirt this fall in memory of River. All proceeds will, again, go to the Dell Children’s Medical Center.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Smith family during this difficult time.
