String Quartet Plays to Audience of Potted Plants

I saw this picture going around online and thought it was just another funny way people were coping with quarantine, but the story behind it is actually a lot more than that! An opera house in Barcelona, Spain re-opened this week, and had a string quartet perform to an audience...of potted plants! Yes, 2,292 potted plants filled the seats that would normally hold humans. Not only was this a way to fill those seats while still maintaining social distancing, but the potted plants were all gifted to healthcare workers to say "thank you" for all their hard work fighting the Coronavirus pandemic!
