The NFL season just ended with Sunday's Super Bowl, but it's never too soon to start thinking about next season. With that in mind, Thursday Night Football is coming to CBS for the 2014 season, the NFL and the network announced Wednesday.
As part of the deal, CBS will air eight early-season games that will also be simulcast on the NFL Network. The NFL Network will also televise eight late-season games leading up to the playoffs and two late-season special Saturday games.
There will also be synergy in the broadcast booth, as NFL Network hosts and analysts will be featured in the pre-game, half-time and post-game shows alongside CBS Sports' Jim Nantz and Phil Simms.
