FOOD FUN: The World's First French Fry Museum Opens in Belgium

Considering humans have been eating potatoes for over 8,000 years, it’s amazing that it took this much time to open the first French fry museum.

The world's first – and only – French fry museum opened recently in Belgium, where French fries were supposedly introduced to Americans during World War I.

The museum has three parts – a section explaining the history of the potato, another that offers information on fries as they are known today, and then an area for snacking and sampling.

A trip through the museum takes around 45 minutes, and costs about $8 for adults and $5.50 for kids.

And, of course, the lunch menu lets you choose between lots and lots of French fries. (Thrillist)
